At Hawaii Lifeguard Surf School, our top priority is making sure you have fun, stay safe, and learn to surf in Kona’s beautiful waters, infamous coral reef breaks, and ocean currents.

20 minutes of land-based instruction in our Surfing Classroom, where you'll learn paddle technique, pop-up skills, and ocean safety with your private coach. Rashguards and water footwear are provided.

10-minute Student drive time from Classroom to the Bay (4-mile drive)

90 minutes in the water at Kahaluʻu Bay, catching waves with your coach, building surf skills, and deepening your ocean awareness—all with personalized guidance and plenty of aloha.
